Your competition slide isn't about listing every rival out there. It's about showing you grasp the competitive landscape and how you're playing a different game entirely. Don't cherry-pick favorable comparisons - investors can smell that a mile away. Instead, demonstrate your unique position and how you're solving the problem in a way other categories of competition aren't. It's not about being the "best" at everything, but about being the right solution for your target market.
Always include a competition slide. It shows market awareness and your unique value proposition.
We generally place it right after the market slide but before any financials or competitive edge slides like team or partnerships. Your competitors might also appear as part of your problem slides though.
